Who owns Absolut vodka?

The brand owner and the Swedish production business are distinct levels of the same chain. [1] [3]

Is Absolut vodka made in China or the USA?

The reviewed production evidence confirms Swedish Absolut vodka manufacture. French parent ownership does not make the vodka French-produced, and these sources do not support a US or Chinese distillation claim. [1] [2]

Same factory, different label

Absolut shares Pernod Ricard ownership with other spirits named in its 2024–2025 registration document. That brand-family link does not establish that those products use the Åhus plant. [1]

Questions people ask

Who makes absolut vodka?

The Absolut Company is the vodka producer, rather than a retailer assigning the label to an unnamed distillery. Alfa Laval’s dated case study describes supplying compact evaporation equipment for an expansion of the Åhus operation; that is an equipment-supplier connection, not ownership of the vodka brand. [2]

Who owns absolut vodka?

Pernod Ricard’s 2024–2025 registration document includes Absolut in the group’s spirits portfolio. The brand owner and Swedish production business are distinct levels of the same chain. [1]

Where is absolut vodka made?

Åhus in southern Sweden is directly documented for distillation and bottling in the December 2025 case study. Its expansion discussion concerns fitting production into an existing town; it should not be treated as a current capacity forecast or proof about every later ready-to-drink product. [2]

Is absolut vodka made in india?

The cited production account identifies Åhus, Sweden for Absolut distillation and bottling. Manufacture in India is Unconfirmed in these sources. [1] [2]
