Giti
USAA dated factory report documents Dextero production at Giti’s Richburg, South Carolina plant, and the US federal manufacturer record lists the brand; this does not establish that every current Dextero size is US-made. [1] [2]
Who owns Dextero tires?
Dextero is part of Giti’s tire business. It is listed alongside Giti and GT Radial under Giti Tire Manufacturing USA’s federal manufacturer record. Selling Dextero through Walmart does not make Walmart the physical manufacturer. [1] [2]
Who actually makes Dextero tires?
Giti Tire Manufacturing USA is the fabricating manufacturer listed by NHTSA, with Dextero among its trade brands. The 2023 Richburg factory report quotes Giti officials about Dextero passenger-tire production and growing light-truck production. [1] [2]
Is Dextero tires made in China or the USA?
There is direct evidence of US Dextero production. A universal all-USA answer, or assigning every other Dextero tire to China, would exceed the reviewed product allocation evidence. [1] [2] [3]
Same factory, different label
Dextero and GT Radial share the Giti group and appear under the same US manufacturer. Shared manufacturing is documented at the company level, but identical designs and one factory for every tire are not public in the reviewed sources. [1] [2]
Where was your tire made?
A company address and a country of manufacture answer different questions. Start with your exact model.
- Read both sidewalls for the country-of-origin marking.
- Record the complete DOT tire identification number and date code.
- Check the specific size and production batch rather than another tire from the same brand.
