Who owns GE refrigerators?

The July 2021 refrigerator announcement explicitly identifies GE Appliances as a Haier company. The appliance operation and the historical GE parent should be distinguished when answering ownership questions. [1]

Who actually makes GE refrigerators?

GE Appliances opened a four-door refrigerator production line at its Louisville manufacturing campus in July 2021. This is a named manufacturer and product line, rather than an inference from a US headquarters address. [1]

Where is GE refrigerators made?

The 2024 Kentucky report identifies Appliance Park’s refrigerator plants and says investment added capacity for a refrigerator model formerly produced in China. It does not provide a current factory allocation for every GE refrigerator SKU. [2]

Is GE refrigerators made in China or the USA?

Both US refrigerator production and historical China refrigerator sourcing are supported. The 2025 move from China concerns front-load laundry, so it cannot be used as a refrigerator-specific origin statement. [1] [2] [3]

Same factory, different label

GE, GE Profile, Café, Monogram, Haier and Hotpoint are in the GE Appliances portfolio. Family ownership establishes useful comparisons, but the refrigerator announcement does not say that every label or model uses the Louisville four-door line. [1]

Where was your washing machine made?

A company address and a country of manufacture answer different questions. Start with your exact model.

  1. Locate the rating plate without removing panels or moving a heavy appliance.
  2. Record the model, serial number and any country-of-origin statement.
  3. Ask the manufacturer about that exact unit if the plate does not state an origin.
