Who actually makes Kirkland Dog Food products?

The July 2026 report names Diamond as the primary manufacturer. The 2012 recall coverage independently documents Diamond manufacturing for Kirkland-branded dry foods. This is evidence for dry dog food, not a blanket supplier claim for canned foods, supplements and treats. [2][3]

Where are Kirkland Dog Food products made?

Current reporting places the covered dry-food production in the United States. The dated recall describes affected 2011–2012 batches made at Gaston, South Carolina. A historic plant record cannot locate a bag bought in 2026; that current lot assignment remains Unconfirmed. [2][3]

Is Kirkland Dog Food made in China or the USA?

The reviewed sources support US manufacture for the covered dry foods, not a China-made finished-food claim. Ingredient origin is a separate question from where kibble is manufactured and is not completely established here. [2][3]

Same factory, different label

The 2012 expanded recall included other Diamond-made labels as well as Kirkland products. Shared manufacturer or recall coverage does not mean identical recipes, ingredients or current production lines. No current equivalence to a named competing recipe is confirmed. [3]
