Galaxy S25 Ultra: selected board evidence

Sources reviewed:

Nine selected records from iFixit's Galaxy S25 Ultra board guide, which identifies 12GB LPDDR5X and a 256GB UFS package. Sales region, retail SKU, batch and exact model code are unstated. Samsung's US page supplies platform context, not proof that the examined unit was sold in the US. This selection excludes S25, S25+, S25 Edge and later generations.

  • Processor branding and a factory are different answers

Samsung names Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy as the platform. That answers the processor question, but it does not identify the fabrication plant or packaging contractor for a particular chip. Treat design, physical manufacturing and final phone assembly as separate relationships. A list of chip vendors cannot fill those missing links by assigning their headquarters as factories.

  • 12GB RAM and 256GB storage serve different jobs

Working memory holds data for active tasks; persistent storage retains apps and files. Increasing one is not equivalent to increasing the other. Here the Micron and Samsung records identify separate roles in the pictured board selection. Compare the same capacity and region before generalizing its vendors to another handset; the US catalog is context rather than the sample’s sales receipt.

    Sources: [1][3]

  • A charging chip is not the battery manufacturer

Analog Devices describes MAX77751 as a single-cell charger with USB-C detection. Cirrus describes CS40L26/26B as a haptic driver. These functions explain the difference between control electronics and the parts they drive. A charger cannot identify the battery-cell maker, and a haptic-driver label cannot identify the motor. Their capabilities alone also do not establish the phone’s enabled settings or measured performance.

Limitations (5)

  • The chip-ID guide's introduction mistakenly says Apple Vision Pro. Its title, labeled Galaxy S25 Ultra board steps and separate physical teardown establish the device context; that copied introduction is not used as component evidence.
  • One examined board does not establish exclusive supply or the parts in every region, capacity and production batch. Processor branding and physical chip identification are different claims.
  • Foundry, process implementation, packaging contractor, final assembler, component factories, display-panel, camera-module and battery-cell manufacturers remain unassigned. Company headquarters are not factories.
  • Tentative proximity, NFC, UWB and magnetometer identifications are omitted. A digitizer controller does not identify a display panel; a haptic driver does not identify the motor.
  • Manufacturer chip pages explain device functions, not installation. English summaries and diagrams are original; no teardown photographs or complete BOM are reproduced. Other locales disclose English fallback.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra supplier FAQ

6 questions about this supply chain, answered from the records above.

Which processor does Galaxy S25 Ultra use?

Samsung specifies Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy; iFixit separately identifies a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor on its board. This supports the platform role, not a foundry or assembly-site assignment. See sources [1] and [3].

Who makes the RAM and storage in this selection?

The pictured board guide identifies Micron 12GB LPDDR5X and Samsung 256GB UFS 4.0. Those findings are bounded to this selection, not every S25 Ultra capacity or batch. See source [1].

Is this a US-model teardown?

The examined unit’s sales region, SKU and exact model code are unstated. Samsung’s US page is used for platform context and cannot establish the teardown unit’s region.

Does the charger record identify the battery supplier?

No. It identifies a charging IC. Battery-cell manufacturer and assembly location remain unknown; a component’s function cannot identify the supplier of another component. See sources [1] and [4].

Why is the guide’s Vision Pro introduction mentioned?

It conflicts with the S25 Ultra title and board steps. We disclose that source error and use the labeled board findings plus the separate physical teardown, rather than treating the introduction as model evidence. See sources [1] and [2].

Is this Samsung’s complete supplier list?

No. It is a nine-record selection across seven organizations. Tentative IDs, factories, panel and camera vendors are not filled in, and no exclusive sourcing or market share is implied.
